MILK/// is a black out composition, based on Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood. A site-specific installation, the work will evolve and develop in the bank vault over several turntables. Rezaei is the Artistic Director of the Old Police House in Gateshead and her current composition research includes the poetry of Rumi, Dylan Thomas and Charles Bukowski, turntable synthesis and opera.
In the old bank vault at the heart of Sentralen she will exhibit an installation using record players in Friday's programme. On the Saturday night there will be short duo and solo sets inside the installation. This includes live interactions from Rezaei on turntables and vocals, Michael Duch on double bass and Maya Dunietz on vocals.
