Experience one of our premier contemporary ensembles live when we celebrate the Norwegian Society of Composers’ 100th Anniversary with asamisimasa on tour this fall. The program comprises of works by composers who in their own way explore what music can express today.

asamisimasa is an internationally acclaimed contemporary ensemble known for its distinctive artistic profile. They have built a strong reputation both in Norway and internationally for their uncompromising ideas about modern music and the ability to put repertoire in new contexts. The ensemble has previously collaborated with composers like Helmut Lachenmann, Aldo Clementi and Alvin Lucier.
Musicians: Ellen Ugelvik (piano), Kristine Tjøgersen (clarinets), Tanja Orning (cello), Jennifer Torrence (percussion) and Anders Førisdal (guitars).
The tour is supported by the Norwegian Society of Composers and FFUK, and is produced by nyMusikk’s head office and the local branches nyMusikk Østfold, nyMusikk Trondheim, nyMusikk Kristiansand, nyMusikk Stavanger and nyMusikk Nordland.
