Off The Page Oslo is a one-day festival in Oslo devoted to music criticism, audio culture and sonic experiences featuring a host of international speakers. The festival took place in Oslo for the first time on 25 January 2014.

His signature combination of velvet voice and noise guitar is an energetic hybrid of post-punk, free jazz and Tropicalia styles. This will be an exclusive meeting with the influential guitarist, composer and no wave innovator with the legendary post-punk band DNA. Lindsay will be interviewed by nyMusikk’s artistic director Anne Hilde Neset.
From Pink Floyd to Scritti Politti, Paul Weller to Evan Parker, Mike Oldfield to Björk, Robert Wyatt’s groundbreaking music and original ideas have left deep traces in pop history. Wyatt biographer Marcus O’Dair gives an audio visual presentation of the visionary, highly political and hugely influential artist.
Records Ruin The Landscape: David Grubbs is a hugely prolific and influential artist known for his solo music and his many collaborations with the likes of Jim O’Rourke (Gastr Del Sol), Red Krayola and Pauline Oliveros. For Off The Page Grubbs presents his book on John Cage and the experimental compositional methods of the 1960s, and discusses the topic with composer Maja S. K. Ratkje and sound artist Camille Norment.
Sonic Comix: A comic artist’s unique relationship to counter-culture music narrated by underground comic legend and music writer Savage Pencil aka Edwin Pouncey. He has previously drawn sleeve art for the likes of The Fall, Sonic Youth, Sunn O))), Coil and Current 93, and is a contributor to The Wire, NME, Alan Moore’s Dodgem Logic and much more.
The Man Who Bought an Echo: Step into a time-warping view of music in the pre-electric age — with a fascinating insight into a world of songbirds as recording equipment, bodily excesses and the longing for technology – by artist and writer Sarah Angliss.

Do Witches Dream of Electric Broomsticks?: Recently Spellemann-nominated (the Norwegian Grammy, for Meshes of Voices by Jenny Hval & Susanna) Jenny Hval is coming to Off The Page to do a special performance cum lecture.
