SPUNK releases Das Wohltemperierte SPUNK with a week-long lunch concert festival under the auspices of nyMusikk and the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter.

Das Wohltemperierte SPUNK is a 12 year old project that celebrates and summarizes the tempered scale. SPUNK has selected concert venues that make up a portrait of Oslo. Inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's iconic work Das Wohltemperierte Klavier and based on Webern's twelve-tone row from String Quartet Op 28, SPUNK has played one new tone from the tempered chromatic scale, every year since 2001. The first concert was played at 20.01.2001 8:01 p.m., the next at 20.02.2002 8:02 p.m. and so on. The last concert was 20/12/2012 20:12.

In February 2013 all the notes are released on Rune Grammofon, and SPUNK marks the release of the festival under the auspices of nyMuisikk concerts with lunch every day for a week. In the spectacular final on Sunday 17 January at Henie Onstad, twelve of Norway's finest musicians perform a piece for the occasion.

The musicians who will play the final at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (art center)  is: Sofia Jernberg (vocals), Guro Skumsnes Moe (double bass), Espen Reinertsen (saxophone), Ole-Henrik Moe (violin), Kari Rønnekleiv (viola), Hanne Rekdal (bassoon), Michael Duch (double bass), Bjørnar Habbestad (flute), Erik Johannessen (trombone), Børre Molstad (tuba), Gjertrud Pedersen (clarinet) and Frode Haltli (accordion).

SPUNK is: Maja S. K. Ratkje, Kristin Andersen, Hild Sofie Tafjord and Lene Grenager. spunkmusic.com
