Tanja Orning presents
A unique musical and verbal encounter between three practitioners of contemporary music. Cellist and composer Tanja Orning invites you to a "concert conversation" with double bass player Håkon Thelin and clarinetist Kristine Tjøgersen.

Tanja Orning is a cellist and musicologist active in the fields of contemporary and experimental music, performing with groups such as asamisimasa, BOA trio, Dr.Ox, as well as her solo-project Cellotronics. Orning currently works as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
She has commissioned and premiered approx. 80 chamber music and solo works, and has performed at festivals such as Darmstadt, Donaueschingen, Huddersfield, Ultima, Ultraschall, Shared Sounds (Berlin), Taktlos (Zürich) and Portland Jazz festival.
Håkon Thelin is a double bass player and composer. He performs with the ensembles Oslo Sinfonietta and POING, and also regularly with Ensemble Modern and musikFabrik. At present, his main interest lies in the combination of contemporary music and folk music, and in the sonic exploration of harmonics and multiphonics on the double bass. This is expressed in his own compositions as well as in collaboration with folk singer Unni Løvlid.
Kristine Tjøgersen works as a composer and clarinetist in ensemble neoN, asamisimasa, Polygon and WeDoMagic, and has collaborated with many Norwegian and foreign composers. She has a Masters degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music, specializing in contemporary music and new techniques for clarinet.
